Preservation Pub has announced a trial on a new comedy night in their upstairs Speak Easy starting Sunday January 16th starting at 8pm. Comedians Jim Zarling, Johnny Mac and Bill Metzger from the Charlottesville Comedy Roundtable make their way from Eastern Virginia to Knoxville to headline the show. Also on the bill from Knoxville are Spencer Ashmun and Trae Crowder with other locals to be announced. Tickets are just $3 and follwing the comedians will be a band playing along to old comedy silent movies. Preservation Pub is located next to the stage in Market Square at 28 Market Square in downtown Knoxville. This event is sponsored by KnoxComedy.com and all event info can be found by clicking the event poster to the right.
Coming to West Knoxville starting Wednesday January 19th is the first Underground Stand-Up Comedy Open Mic at Prince's Deli and Sports Bar. Prince's has hosted comedy before, but this time local comics have gotten together to give it an open-mic format in hopes of creating another regular place for new and veteran comics to get some stage time. Prince's Deli and Sports Bar is located at 509 Lovell Road not far from Turkey Creek in West Knoxville. Things are looking up for Knoxville Comedy!

Josh Blue at Side Splitters this weekend!

More on Josh:
Josh Blue has been a fast-rising star since first appearing on Comedy Central’s “Mind of Mencia” before gaining the attention and endearment of the country as a favorite on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing.” Josh is a diverse and triumphant individual - hilarious stand-up comedian, stand-out guest star on television, talented artist, and stellar U.S. Paralympic Soccer player – refusing to bow to any of the challenges that come from living with Cerebral Palsy. Blue jokes, “I realize that people are going to stare so I want to give them something to stare at.” Josh uses his incredible sense of humor and versatile persona to defy stereotypes and encourage others to overcome their preconceived notions about people who are considered “disabled.” His unique brand of “reverse teasing” affords him the great joy of “humbling condescending people.” Josh’s stand-out performances at the 2004 Las Vegas Comedy Festival earned him $10,000 as Grand Prize Winner of the Royal Flush Comedy Competition. He has appeared on NBC, MSNBC, FOX News, and Fox Sports Net. Don't miss this show!
